Hi
I also had a very dysfunctional first 10 years of my life but now I let Lori own me, the other human typed this for me which i thought was considerate:
Charlie
My home now is, in Wyboston
but Bedford is where I’m from.
I lived there on the outskirts in
a place called Goldington.
A man called ginger, used to feed me
and of me I thought him fond.
That was until he picked me up
then dropped me in his pond.
I quickly learned, how to swim
and where it best to hide.
Then when I came out, I found,
he’d moved to the, seaside.
Now on my own, no food to eat
life soon became unpleasant.
Abandoned there, in Turnpike Way
just off Elliot Crescent.
Hunger was, always with me
with groaning from my belly.
I only dreamed of times well fed,
curled up in front of telly.
Kathleen and Pauline would give me food
and life started to be more fun.
When they were out I’d nip down the road
to scrounge off Wagi’s mum.
Living wild my only bed
was made of wind blown leafs,
and though quite warm the problem was
they were also full of fleas.
The day after Diana died.
I was trapped and put in a van,
scared half to death and though I gave her hell,
Lori still took me home to her man.
With regular food and a trip to the vet
I soon got well, I did.
Graham went white and I thought he’d faint,
When the vet charged ninety quid.
I have lived here now for ten long years
and think I might settle down.
Wyboston may not be the best
but it sure beats Bedford town.
A cat’s tale by,
Charles.
